Meet the Doula

“It is humbling to be the recipient of a person’s life story, to listen to the lessons they have learned, the blessings they wish to convey, and the legacy they wish to leave behind.”

Harvey Max Cochinov, Dignity Therapy, Final Words for Final Days

I consider it a sacred privilege and honor to guide and support dying persons and their loved ones at perhaps the most intense and intimate time in their lives.  I am a trained end of life doula through INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association) and have been practicing since 2019. In addition, I have served as a Palliative Care Chaplain for eight years, have a Palliative Care Chaplaincy Specialty Certificate, and have taken four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), in addition to 7 years of pastoral experience (Masters from Eastern Mennonite Seminary with concentrations in Pastoral Care and Spiritual Formation, Ordained minister in Allegheny Mennonite Conference since 2011, Spiritual Director since 2009).

Providing compassionate presence, reflective listening, and emotional and spiritual care and support, I have guided many dying persons and their families, transforming their end-of-life experience into something meaningful and beautiful.

Outside of my work as an End of Life Doula, Palliative Care Chaplain, Spiritual Director, and retreat leader, I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, kayaking and spending quality time with my husband and others.
