One of the hardest challenges as a society is to talk about death and to admit that we die; we see death as a failure and an enemy, something to be avoided and denied as much as possible. That kind of estrangement from death and dying very much limits our ability to live. By choosing to be more intentional about companioning others on their end of life journey and coming to terms with our own death, we live in a more full and grateful way.
